Precise Accounting Limited was formed in 2003, and is run by John Barnes, a CIMA member since 1981. John specialises in accounting support and small business set up in East Anglia, the North and South Midlands and has worked in both the public (Cambridgeshire County Council [CCC] , Milton Keynes Council) and the private sectors (BT, Philip’s, Tektronix).
John is a qualified and enthusiastic accountant with a broad range of experience in financial management and commercial accounting in manufacturing and service companies of differing sizes. As a CIMA accountant, the importance of internal controls and audit requirements are always an important consideration. He has recent experience in the public sector at both County Council, District Council and Schools/Village Colleges levels and is able to work effectively as a part of a team-based approach to providing long-term solutions that are cost effective and fully resolve the issues.

Experience of managing a Finance function for a Public/private sector partnership, including Funding Claims submission (Capital & Revenue), monthly reporting, Project Costing, Budgeting and Partnership working.
